The school library is a multimedia center for information services. This center serves as an extension of the classroom and the educational and enrichment activities are coordinated with the curriculum through cooperative efforts of the administrative staff, library media specialists and teachers.

7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
GOALS
The primary goals of a quality library media program are to:
Provide a well-balanced collection of multimedia material to meet the needs and interests of students.
Provide flexible access to the resources of the library media center which will meet the immediate needs of the students.
Assist the faculty in planning, developing, and enriching their curriculum objectives.
RULES
Students must have a pass to enter the media center when not accompanied by a teacher.
Passes are needed for use of the library media center at lunch time. Students do not need them before and after school.
Food and drink are not to be brought into the media center.
CHECK OUT PROCEDURES
The library media center uses a computerized check out system. Students are issued library cards at the beginning of their freshman year at Phoebus High School.
Books are checked out for two weeks.
Reference books may be checked out for overnight use. These materials can be checked our for use during the school day by periods.
Magazines, pamphlets and vertical file materials are checked out for one day.
Students are responsible for lost or damaged books.
Maximum fine - $2.00
Overdue books - $.05 per day
Reference materials - $.05 per block
