R.A.D. or Rape Aggression Defense is a women's empowerment program designed to "develop and enhance the options of self-defense, so they may become viable considerations to the woman who is attacked." (R.A.D.-Systems Instructional Objective) The program is designed to make women of all ages more aware of their surroundings by using risk reduction strategies allowing them to avoid a confrontation or be prepared in the event that an abductive or aggressive situation does occur.
