The Center for High Technology, located at Phoebus High School, offers special courses of study in Architectural Engineering Design, Electronics and Robotics Technology, and Communications Technology. The program is structured to fit into the plans of a student wishing to pursue a 4-year college degree and/or enter the work force. Blue Phantom Inn
This is a two-year program designed to prepare students for careers in the food service industry. Students study the care and use of commercial food equipment, food safety, health regulations, sanitation, and food storage practices. Additionally, students learn basic topics in food preparation skills and standards, the art of food presentation, and the operation of a food service business. Students will be able to practice in a real restaurant and will serve paying customers as a wait-person in the Blue Phantom Inn.(Taught at Phoebus High School only but is open to all 11th and 12th grade students in Hampton City Schools. Since this class is a double-block course, it meets every day.)
