GAiTE and the Center for High Technology
Program Offerings and Course Descriptions

The Center for High Technology at Phoebus High School now has three areas of focus. Together, these areas of focus will meet immediate and future workforce needs on the peninsula while helping students develop long-term college and career pathways.

 

Governor's Academy for Innovative Technology, and Engineering (GAITE)

GAiTE is part of a regional effort and will focus on pre-engineering areas in mechanical and electrical engineering and engineering technology.

Robotics and Automated Manufacturing Systems

Robotics and Automated Manufacturing focus on interactive electrical and mechanical systems, programming, and system integration.

High Tech Graphics

High Tech Graphics focus on design, print and screen technologies, embroidery, vinyl, programming, video recording and production, multimedia processes, and will engage students to use devices such as iPods as production tools.
